Since we were unable to hold our Christmas exhibition, we do hope that some of you might be able to come along on the afternoon of Sunday 9th January or failing that, at any time you can manage over the first month of the year.

The exhibition will continue until early February 2011.

This exhibition will showcase some new directions for both artists, with Jane exploring the imagery potential of the family of Highland Cows which live in the field next door to her, as well as, playing with new collage and mixed media abstracts and landscapes.

Trina continues her experimentation with miniature images, generally working using collage techniques and layering various subjects within each piece.

Jane will also be showing a body of work inspired by her emotional responses to places she has lived in or passed through.

"Creelstock" , held at the Creel Inn earlier this month, raised £2,051.48, which is to be split between Ochre and Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Organiser Keith Macrae said "I would like to thank all the musicians, everyone who helped with the set up and the sound etc and everyone who attended and contributed to the two charities. A special mention should go to Robert Lindsay and the staff at the Creel."
