Sun Shines on Catterline Cyclists

Catterline Cycle Ride This year's Catterline Cycle Ride was blessed with a truly glorious late September Saturday as 15 cyclists had a leisurely pedal around the Mearns, raising money for ChildLine in the process.
Everyone succesfully completed the course, with the fastest coming in at about 2 3/4 hours (although it wasn't a race). There were many comments on how beautiful the views were (although the hill out of Kirkton of Feteresso wasn't quite so popular!). Simon and Allison started out on the "short course" but were enjoying themselves so much that they decided to switch to the "long course" part way around.
Thanks to Jonathan for the pictures.

Local email for local people

Ever wished you could keep your email address when you change ISPs?
Well now you can.
You can have your very own exclusive* "@catterline.org" email address that you can use regardless of who your ISP is.
There are two options;
  • email forwarding : The simplest option - your @catterline.org address just redirects mail to wherever you normally receive your email, e.g. your yahoo, hotmail or ISP account. When you change your email address, you just change the forwarding address on @catterline.org instead of having to tell everyone to update their address books (which they never do anyway).
  • POP3 mailbox : The slightly geeky option - you download your email from the server just like normal using Outlook, Outlook Express, Pegasus, Thunderbird or whatever email program you prefer.

Catterline Cycles 50 for Childline

******** STOP PRESS ********

So far we have 15 people taking part, but there are still plenty of places left. It won't be ultra competitive (apart from the usual suspects, of course Laughing), so if you fancy coming along for a gentle cycle and to raise some dosh for ChildLine in the process  please let us know as soon as possible to make it easier to plan.

The more the merrier!

**************************

The annual Catterline Charity Cycle Ride will be taking place at the end of September. This year it is in aid of ChildLine, and there is a choice of two routes; for the “Eager Beavers” there is a 50 mile chase, and for those seeking a more “Leisurely Pursuit” there will be a 35 mile meander.
