Rules Summary
- Carties must have at least four load bearing wheels, reliable steering and effective brakes.
- Maximum unladen weight of cartie is 220lbs.
- Soapbox Drivers must be 14 or over.
- Sidecar Driver must be 16 or over.
- Sidecar Passenger must be 16 or over, or 12 if the driver is over 18.
- Each team gets three timed runs on the course.
- Standing push starts permitted.
- Prizes for fastest run, best aggregate, best engineered, best decorated and "champagne moment".
It's not anticipated that we'll need to make any further changes to the rules between now and the event itself, but it's not completely impossible so we reserve the right to do so if necessary. Any changes will be indicated in the Cartie Forum and will communicated directly to those teams who have entered the competition.
