Highlights of the 2007 Catterline Cartie Challenge

It's been a long time coming, but it's finally here - The Video Highlights of the 2007 Catterline Cartie Challenge. Just click on the picture to the below to view it in all its glory.

(If all you can see is a big empty white space, then I am afraid you are the victim of your employer's firewall policy, and you have no option but to go and do some work instead. Sorry.)

There are more videos here.

The 2008 Catterline Cartie Challenge will take place on 14th/15th June. Entries forms will be available in early January for those who took part last year, and mid January for everyone else. We are limited to 25 carties and places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, so if you want to take part you will need to get your entry in as soon as possible to avoid being disappointed. If you register with our mailing list by sending a blank email to carties2008-subscribe@yahoogroups.co.uk, we will email the entry forms to you as soon as entries open.

Your Gala Needs You

The Gala Committee have been having a bit of a rest over the summer, but will soon be reforming to start planning the 2008 Catterline Gala. Gillian and Catherine will be stepping down, so the committee are hoping to find some new recruits to help organise the inspired lunacy that is the Catterline Gala Weekend.

If you are interested in taking part, please speak to any of the Gala Committee or just come along to the next meeting (Thursday October 18th at 8pm in The Creel).

Catterline Gala

Howdy partners! The Northern Roughriders will be coming to the rootin’ tootin’ Catterline Gala this year - a hootin’ and a hollerin’ and tearing the place up. There will be gun fights, bar-room brawls and all manner of wild west themed fun and games, so  why not mosey on down and join in!
Try your hand at rodeo riding on the Petrotechnics Bucking Bronco, or alternatively just come along and enjoy all your gala favourites.
Other new attractions for the gala include The Siberian Husky Welfare Associations “Hug a Husky” stand and the Cactus Cabin.
Kids – don’t forget races and the fancy dress competition!
Please support your local gala – bottle stall donations, raffle prizes, tombola chocolates, cakes or candy donations or offers of help on the day are very welcome. Contact any committee member if you can help with any of the above.
