Community Council
Your Community Council Needs You
Two Community Councillors stepped down from Catterline, Kinneff and Dunnottar Community Council at their AGM last Tuesday. Ian Duncan and Stephen Hall, who both joined at the same time in 2005 and who both held office bearer posts (Chairman and Secretary, respectively), did not seek re-election this year.
Aileen Swarbrick was elected to the Community Council to replace Stephen, but the Kinneff seat held by Ian stil remains vacant.
With several other councillors intimating that they wished to stand down next year, it seems likely that there will be more vacancies in the near future and a great opportunity for those interested in local affairs to get involved and help to influence Aberdeenshire Council.
CKDCC Community Project Grants
The Community Council has a small amount of money available to help support projects in the area and is inviting applications local groups to apply for funding. The grants will be allocated at the meeting on 23rd February, so applications will need to have been received before then. Details are on the CKDCC web site.
