Three wheelers, and their pseudo three wheeled cousins (one wheel at the front and three at the back) have dominated the Catterline Cartie Challenge, with three victories out of four (Elijah in 2005 and 2007, Auld Alliance in 2008).

Is it time for a change? Should the "1+3" configuration be disallowed? Should all carties be "two at the front and two at the back"? Vote in the poll above and have your say...

Stephen

I'm surprised at your vote as I thought you and Lewis had modified the Ferret to a three wheeled configuration for the final run.

That said I'd like to see them outlawed 'cos they keep beating us.

One of the benefits of getting old is that memory goes to custard.

Have you noticed how my bald spot doesn't show when I've got a hat on?

"Quikes" - nice neologism there, Mr E.

Is anyone going to defend the quikes or can we consign them to history along with the six wheeled Tyrrell?

Either ban them and make the race exclusively about carties..... or expect the race commentator to be so blatanly anti-quike next year that the cyclists will be too scared to come down the hill for fear of rotten tomatoes and eggs being thrown....

people the time has come.... take back your cartie challenge .... throw the cuckoos from the nest.... make Oor Wullie proud....

i'll get my coat......

We've decided not to change the rules, so "quikes" will be allowed to run next year. If one wins again, we might have to think about it again.
