Catterline World Open Fishing Contest

The Catterline World Open Fishing Contest will take place next Saturday (29th August), weather permitting. Fishing will take place from 12noon until 4pm from boats or shore. Participating boats must be moored/launched from Catterline, and the shore may be fished from Crawton waterfall (North) to Todhead Lighthouse (South). Cheating is encouraged but explosives, poisons and nets are prohibited.

Prizes are offered for the heaviest catch, biggest individual fish and largest number of species. The contest will be followed by a barbecue (hopefully fishy in nature) and beers on the beach (all welcome).
